There is nothing better than finding a product that helps solve multiple beauty dilemmas. If you know anything about castor oil, I’m sure you’ve heard the many claims of how this miracle ingredient helps to grow healthy hair. I must admit, while I’d watched many YouTube videos and heard of the “castor oil growth challenges,” I was relatively unfamiliar with it. A few weeks ago I received a package from Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil. I was so excited to finally experiment with the product for my own beauty challenges. I quickly discovered the many uses of castor oil. In fact it was difficult to decide which ones to share in this blog post! Here are my top 5 ways to use Sunny Isle’s Jamaican Black Castor Oil:
LOC Method: If you are unfamiliar with the LOC method you can check out my review on that here. Dry, brittle hair is one of the biggest complaints I hear often from fellow naturalistas. Apply oil after leave in conditioner to help lock and seal in moisture, the castor oil will keep your hair shining and moisture balanced for days!!!
Lip Health: You probably don’t realize it but castor oil is already added to many lip health and chapped lip products, but you can use it directly on your lips too. I like to put a little underneath by lip color to help moisturize and prevent chapped lips and sometimes I put a dab on top of lip shade to create a glossy pouty lip.
Scalp treatments: Have an itchy scalp or extremely dry scalp? Apply castor oil directly to scalp and massage in.
Stimulate hair growth: Apply to balding areas once a day and massage for 6 minutes to promote hair growth and increase scalp circulation that promotes the return of natural hair growth.
Hot oil Hair Treatments: Warm oil lightly in microwave (test temperature to make sure it’s not too hot) then apply to hair and scalp for a replenishing hot oil treatment. Leave on hair for 20 minutes. Shampoo twice then style as usual.
Massage oil: Use directly on skin as a lubricant for massage. Jamaican Black Castor Oil is great for hair, skin and nails as a moisturizing, massage treatment.
