Yes you read the title correctly! Most people think of summer as being fun and carefree. Can I just keep it real, and admit that its been a bit stressful for me? My 3 lovely angels are out of school for summer. Need I say more? I started out with great intentions of field trips, daily schedules and lots of family fun, but somehow each day has turned into a countdown to school being back in session.
In my beauty blogging career, I’ve been blessed to review several fabulous products and travel to many places, but honey, when the folks at Massage Envy called, I wanted to jump in my car and walk in for services the same day! In a perfect world this would’ve been possible, but I had been on the road touring with the Ultimate Brown Beauty Retreat. As soon as I made it home, I hurried to book my appointment for a facial and massage at the Massage Envy of Orland Park, IL. This was not my first time visiting Massage Envy, and since massage is my favorite spa service, I was thrilled to go. You see the sign! RELAX TODAY!! Which is exactly what I did for two whole hours. My first service was a full body massage with Maggie. I explained to Maggie that I had been spending more time than usual on planes and that sitting while sleeping had taken a toll on my back. She worked those kinks out like a pro and even took the time to craft a massage wellness plan. Following my massage with Maggie, I received a Environmental Shield facial with Ashley. Ashley walked in with beautiful kinky, coily hair and I knew was in good hands.
We bonded right away because we are both Skin Therapists. Ashley knows her stuff and I love that she seemed to have an extensive knowledge of how to care for ethnic skin. She was kind enough to gift me with a bag of Murad skincare goodies. I was really excited about actually being able take home products that were used on my skin during facial services. Both Maggie and Ashley did a phenomenal job and I was so grateful for the much needed time away from my three little ones. You too can melt all the stress away at a Massage Envy near you.
