My Lip Liner Surprise

A few months ago I went to fun fall makeover event at Ulta with Smashbox as the featured brand partner. This event was by appointment only with one of the Smashbox makeup artist and a photo booth photo shoot after the makeover. I had so much fun because it had been long time since I had a makeover and I had a chance to experience the new fun fall colors.

When I arrived, I checked in with the Prestige Manager – Rose and she introduced me to my makeup artist for the day – Christine. I was excited yet nervous, as I didn’t really know what the outcome would be. I had hoped for a fab and flawless look that I loved but every makeup artist is different and not all taste are the same so you never know if you are going to like what you get until it’s done.

Christine beat my face and I loved my finished look! I purchased almost everything that she used on me. But, I’m not here to tell you about all the products, I’m only here to share my thoughts on one and that would be The Nude Lip Pencil in Dark/Fonce.

Now that we have the beauty info on my Smashbox Makeover experience, let me give you The Glam it, The Slam it and My Final Grade!

The Glam: Although this product is not listed as a multifunctional product, I kind of use it that way. It’s a lip pencil but I don’t really wear lip pencils that often so I decided to use it as eyeliner. Yep, that’s right, I use my lip pencil on my eyes. LOL.

One day I almost used it as eyeliner because of the color. At first sight, it looks more like eyeliner instead of a lip pencil. Then, I thought, why not? It was soft when I applied it to my lips so it had to be the same on my eyes. And I was right! It glided on so smooth onto my eyes and the color was the perfect brown I had been looking for. Who knew? I guess you never know unless you try, right?

The Slam: I don’t have one bad thing to say about this product except it should state: this can be used as both a lip and eyeliner.

My final grade for The Nude Lip Pencil in Dark/Fonce by Smashbox is 5 out of 5 smooches…MUAH! I know this pencil is made for the lips but I feel it is better suited for the eyes! It long lasting and it glides across the eyes giving it a smooth natural looking finish. If you are interested in purchasing The Nude Lip Pencil in Dark, you better hurry because it’s only available on a few websites for $18.00. Check it out on beauty.com because Smashbox has seemed to discontinue the pencil and added an automatic pencil. Happy lining!
