Neutrogena is an oldie but goodie brand that I can always count on as a go to for my drug store products. The skincare is dermatologist recommended and they have a wide range of products to choose from with very affordable prices. So when I was on the hunt for the perfect sunscreen, it was sort of a no brainer to include them in my search.
Since summer is right around the corner and the sun will be shinning much brighter and longer (at least I hope), I thought it would be appropriate to talk about sunscreen. Yes, sunscreen!!! Everyone and I do mean everyone should wear SPF. It doesn’t matter how dark or light you are…you can still burn…the sun does not discriminate (trust me, I know and it was not pretty)!!! SPF protects you from the UVA – aging rays and UVB – burning rays and I know we all want to look like we are 21 for as long as possible 🙂 as well as not get sunburned because it hurts and looks gross as it starts to heal. Sure, the golden bronze tan looks good in the beginning but when it starts to peel…not so much!!! IJS
In my opinion, all brands of sunscreen are not the same (don’t shoot the messenger, it’s just my opinion) LOL. I have tried several sunscreens and it has been a daunting task to say the least. Being a brown skin girl, some SPF’s leave a white hue and makes my skin look ashy (and that is so not cute). Some sunscreens have irritated my skin, left a residue or felt heavy 🙁 yuck!!!
But for the past few months I have been using Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 70. I came across this sunscreen after much trial and error of trying prestige brand SPF’s, thinking the more the product cost, the better it will be but that is so not true!!! Now, I am not saying that prestige products are not good because there are several brands that I love. I am saying that I could not find a sunscreen that worked for me in that category.
With that said, here is what I like about the Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunscreen by Neutrogena: It lives up to the name…it is sheer and not heavy. It does not leave a film or leave me ashy. It is oil free, waterproof/sweat proof and it works well under my makeup. It does not irritate my skin and once again…it does not leave my skin ashy and that my friends…is amazeballs!!!
Usually, this is where I would talk about my dislikes with a product but since I don’t have any, I will have to give it my final grade…5 out if 5 smooches…MUAH!!! Neutrogena you have given me protection that my skin needs from the aging and burning rays at a very affordable price!!!
