2011 Meetups A Look Back

Chicago Natural Beauty Meetup is a women’s natural beauty organization that came to life in 2011. I had the idea for the meetup because it seemed everywhere I went, someone asked me about my hair. Many women simply wanted to know why, how, who, when and where. Most times I would be in a hurry with my three children in tow and simply did not have the time to answer all of the questions. My vision was to be in a room filled with naturals and to offer support while helping to build confidence as women learned how to transition from relaxed to natural hair. In February our group will  celebrate our one year anniversary. I hope to make a very special announcement about our featured speaker very soon.
