This past weekend I took a break from work for the Holiday Beauty Bazaar and went to visit one of my favorite stores to support Small Business Saturday. Essential Elements is a “Boho chic” boutique that has some of the most unique clothing and accessories you will ever see on the south side of Chicago. Every time I go in, I am always amazed at the high quality merchandise. The staff is always impeccably dressed and eager to give suggestions on the latest fashion trends. The store is owned by Melanie Whaley a natural hair diva! It always brings a smile to my face to see Melanie’s mom in the store assisting her daughter. It gives the store a real family-owned and operated feel. “EE” is celebrating 26 years of business, including five at their current location. When you visit the store don’t be surprised if you run into some celebrities. The store boasts of some very high profile clients and local politicians.
